Matthew Eng is a writer and critic who has contributed to the Criterion Collection, Film Comment, Hazlitt, the Los Angeles Review of Books, MUBI Notebook, and Reverse Shot, among other publications. Born and based in Brooklyn, he is currently a PhD candidate in the Cinema Studies department at NYU.
